I know most of you have heard the saying “you are what you eat” and as cliché as it sounds, its sooooo true!

 

My husband and I decided to give up meat (flesh as he would say lol), dairy and soy almost 2 years ago. During this journey, we have learned so much about our bodies and how food can affect your body physically, mentally, and spiritually. Today, Im going to stick with the physical.

It’s pretty obvious that I love what I do and I love to share with you all even more! I love reading about the history of our hair and the accomplishments we have achieved despite obvious obstacles. Nothing is more annoying than an itchy scalp! You relieve one itch and then here comes another! Its seems as though it’s contagious! We search high and low for the magical product and the ingredients are right under our nose. Over the last few years, I have done a lot of research on different oils to help alleviate some of the pains of an itchy, dry scalp. It inspired me to mix my own oils! My clients love it and hopefully you all will enjoy them as well.

I would be rich if I got a dollar every time I heard that statement (well, I may be able to pay a few bills but you get the picture lol)

Be still! Don’t move your head! Ouch! This hurts!

Many of us “nappy” girls have heard these phrases one too many times as a little girl. Dreading that hot pressing comb and hair grease the night before the school week. If it didn’t get “combed,” you would be all types of “nappy head” at school.

As young girls, that has taken a toll and is still taking a toll on our fellow girls and women. I, too felt know the struggle all too well. Especially growing up without a relaxer. I desired to have one. Seriously desired. I would always admire the girls who had the “perfect wrap and set” every two weeks. Not having to worry about sweating your hair out during gym or recess.
